I have been at work on a new book concerning authority for some time now.  If love is the first attribute, authority is the first principle of God.  My daughter is the co-author with the other ladies of 1:11 Ministries, of a new book called Fearless:  Free in Christ in an Age of Anxiety. While working completely independently we managed to address something critical concerning authority, (she calls it dominion) and prayer.  God honors his gift of authority to man, including man’s choice to surrender his dominion over the earth to Satan.

The book of Daniel reveals to us that angels are sent in response to our prayer.  We still have a role to play.  Satan has erected “No Trespassing” signs all over the spiritual realm surrounding earth and God honors them, until invited by man to come. To bring the power of God and his hosts to do battle on our behalf, we need to give specific invitations.

To try to accomplish spiritual victories in our own flesh is foolish at best, destructive at worst. To not play our part and do the most important spiritual work there is, is unthinkable if you have eyes to see spiritual things.  God has chosen to work with man not against him.  Pray as if it all depends on God. Work as though it all depends on you.  Both are true.
