You are always invited to lunch if you are in the area on Sundays.  For some this invitation is quite literally, every Sunday after church – but since many of you wouldn’t be able to make it, we’re going to host you the best we can here on the internet.

Feel free to contact us with questions you might want addressed; or leave your questions in the comments on a post. God seems to prepare us specifically for what comes up, and most of it is spontaneous. This is meant to be a relaxed atmosphere where you can ask things you don’t really have opportunity to ask in most church settings.

It is becoming clear that questions we receive are falling into specific categories. There are questions about the trustworthiness or content of the Bible posed by seekers and skeptics, questions about theology posed by Christians, and then there are questions posed for the sake of argument, which are really not questions at all but opportunities for people to show one-upmanship over their brothers and sisters. We like the first 2 types of questions and generally ignore the 3rd. We are here to explore how the Bible answers us, not to disagree with it. That’s another forum. There are lots of theories about prophecy and other topics. We’ll go back to what the Bible says and leave the application to you. The Holy Spirit gets to teach us all. We acknowledge that different understandings are okay to entertain so long as the bedrock of the Word of God is given our permission to correct us. He won’t force His way on us. If we will return and ask God what He is saying with an actual effort to learn of Him we will get what we need at the time we need it.  Our perspective on everything changes as we move to a new vantage point. With any scripture, including prophesy, that change can be a change in time or a change in spiritual growth and learning.

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him.” James 1:5
